This is the closest place to go for really great walk among the cactus experience. The town of Cave Creek is a touristy cowboy type town, but who cares? The last time I was here we started just in time to get in a good hike and see a beautiful sunset as we got back to the car. I believe it is a 6 mile round trip walk/hike. Bring hat, water, sunscreen.

Great mountain biking and hiking trails. Google the Cave Creek C4 race route for a great mountain bike loop starting from in Cave Creek. There are horse back rides at a trailhead stable and also great hiking trails.

One of the last untouched parcels preserved in Cave Creek by Cave Creek township. It has more high desert mountain trails than one could do in a month long visit. The Jewel of the Creek springs run through the middle canyon with cottonwood trees and small meadow areas. You can climb to the top of many mountains surrounding the area. Trails range from easy to extreme. Your heart will lead you to the beauty best suited for you. Bring plenty of water, snacks or a picnic lunch. Please be aware of your surroundings as wildlife is important to us all and sometimes can be dangerous. Enjoy from a distance. Host hikes available too. Full moon hikes are offered during that moon phase. Free entry.

This is a great place to get outside and experience the Sonoran Desert. There are many trails to choose from.
