I find many guests don't know this place, which is huge mistake for them. I totally recommend this place. If you come with your family, this place has to be in your list.

It's possible to reproduce the Pacific rim 10 area by an water tank as much as 14 in an aquarium of the world maximum level and observe about 620 kinds of ecology! Even a date is recommendation tourist attraction in popular Kansai. A contact section is enriched, and I can enjoy myself from a small child. It's also apparent for an adult to be excited at the state by which a whale shark and a big ray are swimming a huge water tank expansively.

Kaiyūkan is easily one of the world's best aquariums. An 800m-plus walkway winds past displays of sea life from around the Pacific 'ring of fire': Antarctic penguins, coral-reef butterflyfish, unreasonably cute Arctic otters, Monterey Bay seals and unearthly jellyfish. Most impressive is the ginormous central tank, housing a whale shark, manta and thousands of other fish and rays. There are good English descriptions, but the audioguide (¥500) gives more detail. Expect lots of families and school groups.
