One of the most beautiful spots in all of the Oregon coast, and the most picturesque lighthouse. If you have a day or even just a half-day, it's well worth the 1.5-hour drive from Eugene.

Heceta Head Light is a lighthouse on the Oregon Coast 13 miles north of Florence, and 13 miles south of Yachats. Perched atop 1,000-foot-high Heceta Head, the light atop the 56-foot tower was first illuminated in 1894.

Hike to the lighthouse itself, and see the historic Lighthouse Keeper’s home.

There is something about a stately lighthouse still in service that makes you like humanity. Most photographed lighthouse in the US. There is a hiking trail, too.

View from the Hwy 101 scenic overlook or up close and personal park and walk. You choose! Either way, this picturesque coastal view will sweep you of your feet.
