The Fairfield Boathouse Cafe is a magical place, that takes you outside of the city hustle and bustle, is right next to the Yarra river, surrounded by walking trails, with canoes and rowboats. You can have an hour or a day, very close to the city, but feeling like you are 100 km away. It is magical, and beautiful. You can also treat yourself to different smoothies, coffees, teas and meals, and listen to the birds, watching the river flow, and the reflections of the gum trees in its waters.

Another place to relax beside the river or to take a walk along the river or to be a bit more energetic and hire a row boat. There is also the opportunity to take a lesson in kayaking.

It's a great natural area with lots of paths for a walk or jog - dog and bike friendly and the trails snake their out of the city following the Yarra. You could literally keep going for hours.

Just next door. 5 minute walk or kayak. The Boathouse is a fabulous place to spend a few hours or even half a day! They serve lunch and or afternoon tea! The food is fresh and tasty and the baked cakes, scones and pastries were freshly made on the premises. Sit outdoor on the balcony and watch the Yarra flow by. You can hire the row boats. Great live music on the weekends.
