Some of my favorite local beer and a cool spot on 8th Ave South. They have Trivia nights on Thursday and live music Sunday afternoons--worth checking out!

Good solid brewery really close to Yazoo, so you can hit them both up in one fell swoop. Thunder Anne is a great pale ale and they have a few other tasty seasonals.

Amazing taproom with a beer garden. 2 for 1 drafts every Tues & Wed. They also have Nashville's first distillery since prohibition. Open for tours and tastings...very interesting flavors.

Get a tour of the distillery, and taste what they make. They are new and have won tons of awards. There is also great shopping in the building, which used to be a automobile factory.

This distillery is very unique in the experimental whiskeys that they brew. The barrel aged gin is a thing of beauty and can be bought on site. The tasting after the tour is more than generous.

Great local brewery with a cool tap room. Belgian-style brews, some barrel-aged, etc. Definitely worth checking out if you're into craft beer.

I personally think they are the best brewery in Nashville, a short drive south of downtown and in a more industrial area, but they have some amazing beers. I recommend the Rose or Champion.

One of Nashville's most interesting and adventurous local breweries. With a tasting room that feels like a fellowship hall of a monestery and wonderful trappist and traditional ales selections.

A distillery with a story spanning over 100 years. Newly reopened after two brothers discovered their whiskey-making heritage. Now operating with the same pre-prohibition recipe and processes.

Old school bourbon distillery with deep roots in Nashville that has recently been resurrected by the original family.

They really explain how they're making the bourbons. It a much better option than going out to Jack Daniels.
