Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Our studio mixes a luxurious but informal bach aesthetic it’s the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy Gisborne. BBQ and surfboard available on request.

Quiet location in CBD, opposite a café. 2 minute walk to the supermarket and town centre. Close to Taruheru river, near the botanical gardens. You can enjoy the walkway which follows the river to Waikanae Beach (20 min walk), Midway Beach and Kiwa Pools (35 min walk). Or cross the footbridge to the Farmers Market (5 min). Inside, go up the spiral stairs to the cozy mezzanine bedroom (please note that it's low up there). The unique stairs are from the old star observatory on Titirangi (the local maunga/mountain)! The sofa bed in the lounge can sleep 2. There is no kitchen, but there is a kitchenette with microwave, toaster and kettle.

The Shed - Orchard Retreat

Our two bedroom accomodation is positioned to get the best views out over our citrus orchard. The large deck extends off the spacious open plan lounge and kitchen to allow indoor/outdoor living. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet. Full kitchen with everything you may need as well as a bottle of our award winning orange juice. Due our deck and the stairs our property is not suitable for young children. We are a smoke free property and do not allow smoking.

Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
