Historic Places Trust in coastal Maori village

Te Poutapeta is a Historic Places Trust listed building. Up until the 1980s it served as the community Post Office. Our family run it as a B&B or Holiday House. Guests have the entire house at their disposable. We provide continental breakfast. The Post Office is a one minute walk to our long and expansive beach. You’ll love our Poutapeta for its history, spaciousness and comfort. We have attempted to retain its origingal character. It is relaxing and unspoilt. Nau mai, haramai!

Loisels beach is 10-15 minute walk away, providing fishing, diving, surfing opportunities, as well as beautiful white sand and safe swimming. The unit includes a comfortable king bed, fully functioning kitchen, separate bathroom and laundry facilities.

Our place is newly built, behind a historic building, only metres from the beautiful Tokomaru Bay Beach. The facilities are all modern, with heat pump/air conditioning, acomodating 4 people with style, comfort and ease. One queen bed is in the lounge as a pull down/retractable and the second in a separate bedroom. Shower and toilet is an ensuite shared by all guests but accessed through the bedroom.
