Amazing crepes from local restauranteur Dave Bailey. Good coffee. Awesome Bloody Marys. Within walking distance of my house! It's best to go before 10am on the weekends - can get pretty crowded. I love the Egg #2 crepe add fresh tomato. Also the MO German-sausage #2!

Drinks & Nightlife

Amazing local pub specializing in English-style, malt-driven, session ales. Cash only, but very laid back. Has some of the nicest staff. The British Bitter is my favorite with the American Brown Ale being a close second. Great sandwiches and on Sundays they only serve soup (winter) or tacos (summer). A must visit!

A kitchy bar with a local following. Cash only. About a 10 minute walk from my place. Comfortable and where the locals go.

Full disclosure, I work here. Awesome staff, award winning beers, great patio. Our chef makes fantastic food with farm to table offerings. The grilled cheese with onion thyme jam is fab. If you're looking for viscous, stouts with luxurious mouthfeel, Belgian-style beers, or funky barrel-aged options with Brettanomyces this is the spot. :)

Parks & Nature

Gorgeous Botanical Gardens. I'm a member, so I'm not sure how much it is to get in, but I believe it's free on Saturdays before noon. Hit it up before or after a visit to the Tower Grove Farmers market. A short bike ride or Uber from my house!

Arts & Culture

OK, listed as a museum, but imagine a playground made out of found items. It is a giant jungle gym for kids AND adults. They are open until midnight in the summer and if you don't have kids, I prefer to go at night. Pay a bit extra to go on the roof. There is a ferris wheel on the roof with Arch views.
