Sightseeing
Construction of this leaning, curved and unfinished tower began in 1529. The original plan included attaching a new church to the tower, which would replace the old saint vitus church, but this was never realized. Back in the day people tought the failed tower was emarrassing, nowadays it's Leeuwarden's proud. Fun fact: the Oldehove is more leaning than the Tower of Pisa.
