I recommend taking walks in this area. It is beautiful and if you walk down from Munkkiniemi to Hietaniemi, you get a nice stretch of coast and architecture from different eras. One of my favourite areas for a stroll in Helsinki.

If you end up going there (and find it up and running), bring a towel and swimming suit, be respectful of others, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS close the door when leaving the sauna (quickly) and NEVER EVER EVER litter, or behave disrespectfully towards the other people. If you're not into it, you don't have to be there.

Here lies the Sibelius monument. It's ok, but I prefer just taking walks in the area around it. If you want to see the monument, I recommend you also take a around to dog-isle. It's for dogs to run wild on, but offers nice views of the surrounding area too.
