The royal church when Rio was the capital of the Portuguese crown. It's very beautiful. There's an interesting guided tour.

Great place to eat crab and seafood in general. I recommend the "pastéis" (Brazilian-style empanadas). Good for some beer/caipirinhas and appetizers. Very casual.

Come to Urca, wander around and end at this place. It's a dive bar, but the food is great. Just get a beer and all the appetizers you can carry and follow the crowd to the "wall". Awesome at sunset.
