This is a chain restaurant and we're lucky to have a Bill's in Eastbourne. It offers a lovely, friendly and comfortable environmental (also cosy in the evenings) and great food. Check-out their menu on the web. It can get very busy there, so either telephone to book a table or use their online table booking service, which is very reliable and has never let us down. Located in the town centre, opposite Debenhams department store.

It's currently being enlarged as part of an exciting new development that will include a whole new collection of big name brands and a multi-screen cinema (movie theatre) due for completion in 2018. It's open for business and has a good range of clothing shops, cafes, Boots the chemist, Marks & Spencer etc.

Arts & Culture
Located next to the Congress Theatre, this art gallery has a permanent Eric Ravilious exhibition and other exhibitions that change every few months. It also has it's own cafe that affords a balcony view of the Eastbourne Tennis Centre.

This is our main library with all the facilities you would expect including computers, newspaper section, printers, photocopiers and a shop. It's located on the other side of the roundabout, across from the railway station.

Walking west along the seafront, after the pier, you'll find the Redoubt Fortress. It is a circular coastal defence fort, built in 1805 as part of the British anti-invasion preparations during the Napoleonic Wars. It has a wonderful collection of wartime memorabilia, including uniforms and antique weaponry from various periods in British military history. You can also walk around the battlements of the fortress and look out to sea.

Royal ParadeWalking west along the seafront, after the pier, you'll find the Redoubt Fortress. It is a circular coastal defence fort, built in 1805 as part of the British anti-invasion preparations during the Napoleonic Wars. It has a wonderful collection of wartime memorabilia, including uniforms and antique weaponry from various periods in British military history. You can also walk around the battlements of the fortress and look out to sea.
Sightseeing
Eastbourne Pier has been renovated after a devastating fire and now has an open promenade at its front section, with gift shops, a fish and chip shop, amusement arcades, a nightclub and a Victorian tea room. It's great for a stroll on a sunny day and affords wonderful views of our coastline towards Beachy Head and Hastings. The pier is free-of-charge for entry.
