We love taking the kids to Jackson Falls in the summer and letting them slide on the upper falls! Jackson Falls is a 0.4 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Duck River, Tennessee that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round.

We love to spend a lazy day picnicking and wading in Little Swan Creek with the kids. They have charcoal grills and picnic tables by the creek. This is an easily accessible short hike located right off of the Natchez Trace Parkway. The Meriwether Lewis portion showcases exhibits on these Natchez Trace travelers who used many trails in the area to travel by. This area preserves the place of General Meriwether Lewis and the monument was built in 1848.
