Shawnee Mountain is a beautiful location year round, offering a variety of fun activities to keep everyone entertained. There are 23 ski runs and trails. They offer activities all year round.

While the path is about half a mile to get to the falls, it is along a handicapped-accessible wooden boardwalk. Along this path is another impressive waterfall, Silver Thread Falls, which tumbles down the mountain in a very narrow channel.
The Appalachian Trail cuts through the southern portion of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area before crossing the Delaware River into New Jersey. This trail affords nearly unlimited hiking in either direction and offers a great day hike for visitors to the area.

City/town information
Nestled in the southern Poconos, Jim Thorpe is a destination for shopping, outdoor adventure, live music and dining. A perfect small town in the foothills of a valley in the Poconos. They have scenic trains that go through the mountainsides. The downtown main street is really beautiful for all seasons with shopping and restaurants (including their Christmas Festival!) We strongly recommend the slightly longer drive to see this destination.

The Delaware Water Gap was previously known to be a jazz music destination. The Deer Head Inn is the last standing relic to this era. It still has live jazz and great food!
