Downtown Coral Gables is known for Miracle Mile, the strip between Le Jeune (42 Ave) and Douglas (37 Ave). It features a variety of local shops, restaurants and bars. The streets and avenues stemming from Miracle Mile also have a variety of options to choose from. Stroll down Giralda Avenue and choose from a variety of cuisines. Our favorite shop is Books & Books, they also have a delightful cafe for lunch. Our favorite bites: Coyo Taco, Sweetgreen's salads, Hillstone’s bar and appetizers, Threefold Café's breakfast, Pasion del Cielo's drip coffee.

There are 12 colleges and schools including a School of Medicine, a Law school, School of Music, and the School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. The main campus is about 1 mile away, making this home a perfect stop for visiting professors and parents alike.

Choose from a variety of Latin restaurants serving Cuban favorites such as croquetas de jamon, pastelitos de guayaba, vaca frita con moros y maduros. Don't forget to order a mojito and observe the domino park players, and get guava ice cream at Azúcar.
