Kemptown in Brighton has been named one of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods, bohemian, inclusive + free-spirited Kemptown is basically a boho-enclave-within-a-boho-enclave with laidback vibes, spectacular seafront walks for people watching and a busy inclusive nightlife. The open shingle beach is being planted with native species aimed at helping wildlife thrive, while a new boardwalk opened in 2022 provides easier access to the beach itself. Kemptown beach which is on the far left side of the main pier is known to be less touristy and much quieter than the right hand side of the pier, we also have the naturalist beach on the kemptown side for those wanting to shed their clothes without hassle. As with all of Brighton, Kemptown is an inclusive gay friendly social neighbourhood with lots of cool cafes and places to people watch.

North Laine has a happening, bohemian vibe with vegetarian cafes, vintage clothing stores, more than 300 independent shops selling anything and everything from vegetarian shoes to African drums and vintage fashion. The North Laine is also home to vibrant street art. Look out for Banksy’s ‘Kissing Policeman’.
Or simply soak up the atmosphere by picking one of the many independent cafés to sit and watch the world go by. A 20 minute walk from the Pink House.

A hidden shop to get your no fuss basics, breads/milks/gum/lollies/crisps/papers etc a basic corner shop 2 minutes away - it doesn't look much from the outside with very little advertising to mark it out but is a handy place to know about if you need something to munch on.

Established in 1899, it was the third pier to be constructed in Brighton after the Royal Suspension Chain Pier and the West Pier, but is now the only one still in operation.
The Palace Pier was intended as a replacement for the Chain Pier, which collapsed in 1896 during construction of the new pier. It quickly became popular, and had become a frequently-visited theatre and entertainment venue.

A beautiful park just behind our house, 2 minutes away! Our favourite place in Brighton to take some time out and relax. It has a lake with swans, geese, ducks and herons as well as a small playground and toilets. Popular with families and dog walkers.
