These fascinating birds only come ashore to breed, and spend the rest of their time out at sea - up to 80% of their life is spent flying! If you're lucky, you might also spot some dolphins while you're on Skomer. Bottlenose dolphins are regular visitors to the waters around the island, and they often put on a real show for lucky onlookers.
