Torpo Stave Church is the oldest and only original stave church left in Hallingdal. It is also the oldest building in Hallingdal.
This stave church was erected around 1160, and consecrated to St Margaret. The legend about her martyrdom decorates the baldachin in well-known paintings from the latter half 13th century. The church was built in the Borgund style with a raised space in the middle between the nave and the chancel.

The Holiday Park is so packed with activities that you might need a break after! High&Low activity park with zip line across the river and more than 50 installations for climbing and action, Hallingkastet - an 11 meters high playground, enormous indoor play centre, animal farm, activity trails, ball games, fishing, canoeing, cycling....
They also have a great restaurant, Bergtatt Bistro.
Their specialty is dishes with local produce from Hallingdal, but they also offer a variety of other types of food and recipes.
