Great outdoor places of the Okanagan to visit nearby and farther away that you might not know about.
Very close place to visit, only a 5 minute drive away. Fresh air and a nice boardwalk along the water mostly only known by locals. Many beaches, extravagant houses and heritage homes to see as well just outside the wetland on Abbott st going either direction. It can be a great sightseeing trip to ride a bike/scooter etc down Abbott st towards down town through the boardwalk or towards Gyro beach

Just a great park to visit, there’s a nice beach and some hiking, cedar creek park down the street is a nice walk

Bertram Creek Regional Park

A great place to go for a day trip, there’s a beach in the provincial park and stairs built up the mountain to climb up to see the waterfalls. Once you get to the top, if your feeling adventurous you can keep going at your own risk until you find the 3 pools, you can swim or wade across the first pool to climb to the 2nd and 3rd one. The 2nd pool has a natural water slide going into the first pool and the 3rd pool has a rope swing you can swing off of into the water. Bring food and water, theres no stores nearby

Parque Provincial y Área Protegida de Fintry
Fintry Delta RoadA great place to go for a day trip, there’s a beach in the provincial park and stairs built up the mountain to climb up to see the waterfalls. The main thing to do in the park is hike to Cosen’s bay, there’s a beach and cliff jumping along the way as well as a great beach at Cosen’s bay, its a popular spot for boaters to hangout and also has a safe swimming area for kids
