It is interestingly that there is no menu in the restaurant. A waiter will tell you available dishes. Or you can "study" the menu in the "open kitchen" and show the desired dish. All available desserts can also be seen in the showcase.
Also, don't be surprised when you receive a handwritten invoice.

Nevmekân is a very beautiful place! There is a cafe and a library at the same time. Stunning view from the windows and an incredibly beautiful ceiling in the main hall are making that place so unique.
Before it was a wedding palace in the building, but then it was renovated by the Uskudar's government. Moreover all Nevmekân buildings (there are 3 buildings in Uskudar) are unique and deserve a visit!
On the 1st floor there is a library and a well-equipped reading hall. All books can be read right in the hall, but to take them with you, you need to register.
It is definitely worth drinking tea or coffee with a delicious dessert in such an atmosphere. Be prepared to wait a free table. The cafe is very popular.
In the courtyard there is a small and stylish museum about Turkish sultans's wives. I recommend you to visit.
