Top Soil is a farm to table restaurant in downtown Travelers Rest. A bit pricey, but worth it for a splurge. Need reservations. Tip: Try their brunch on Sunday. Affordable, and very good! Also need reservations! Nicer casual dress is great.

We love Chicora Alley. Nice menu choices, good bar, great patio. Very busy but worth the wait. Check out their dessert case. Their brisket tacos are excellent!

If you want pizza, drive a few miles into Greenville and you will thank me. New York style pizza with great toppings, creative salads in a great atmosphere. This is the only pizza we want.

Saluda NC is a short drive from Travelers Rest. It is a delightful small town with a big history. The oldest General Store in NC is there, and it is authentic! Wonderful crafts, art galleries - please don't miss Jim Carson's watercolors next to the Train Museum - and really good restaurants. Pearsons Falls is a very short drive from town and is absolutely worth your time. It is the most accessible waterfall in SC and is gorgeous! A short walk from your car, on very nice trails. There is a $10 charge per person, but oh, so worth it! When we take people sightseeing, Saluda is the place they rave about the most!
