Beaches
Visit Venice Beach even just to people watch. Sometimes there is someone juggling chain saws sometimes there is a man on skates playing guitar with a hip amp dressed in very impressive fashion, and there used to be a gentleman who would tell inappropriate jokes for a quarter. There is some great skateboarding there as well as the famous Muscle Beach. It’s gritty in the best way. Used to be a lot of thrift shops and falafel, post covid I’m not sure all that is left but the character lives I’m certain.

This is one of the more beautiful beaches for a day trip. Bring a cooler (there is a big blue and white one in the garage) and spend the day.

Wouldn’t be a trip to LA without putting your hands and feet on someone you admire. Walk along the stars of fame and visit the wax museum.

Car/Train/Buss
If you drive look up the parking situation. Light rail is awesome, it only goes a few places but the parking structures are easy to drive to the station and leave your car. TRAFFIC IS ALWAYS BAD, so just assume it will be and be happily surprised if you get lucky.
