The Bowling 🎳 Barn, Mountain Room Escapes, Urban Adventure Quests’, and Riddle Routes are some fun places to visit.

Family Fun Recreation

In the summer Magic Mountain is a mini park with double water slides. In the winter, ride a chairlift to the top of the mountain 🏔 and experience bobsledding with Alpine Slide. There you can find some of the best tubing. All year round you can go-kart racing or miniature golf.

Big Bear Lake is a manmade, fresh water lake stretching 7 miles long and .5 miles wide. Goes as deep as 72 feet and spans over 22 miles. It’s home to one of the nations a few solar observations and alpine zoos for injured wildlife. Big Bear is home to bald eagles, bears, mountain lions, bobcats, coyotes, deer, and about 29 species of rare plants, 10 are indigenous. Big Bear’s history at 1845 began when Benjamin Davis Wilson rode into Yuhaviat (what Serrano Native American word meaning “Pine Place”) Valley with 20 men and found the place crawling with grizzly bears. Big Bear Lake was also the Mecca for gold mining. In 1860, William Holcomb discovered gold in the back country of Big Bear. That’s where Southern California’s largest gold rush began! Visit The Big Bear Discovery Center to rediscover the ‘wild west’ days.
