The shop stocks a range of sustainable and plastic-free homeware and gifts. They offer a range of courses, such as wild-crafted cocktail making, where you will take full advantage of nature’s bounty to create your own drinks.

The walk starts from Harestanes Visitor Centre – TD8 6UQ and is suitable for families too! Keys can be collected to climb the tower and take in the wonderful view from the top. Lothian Estates Office Bonjedward, Jedburgh Scottish Borders TD8 6UF Tel: 01835 862201 From Lothian Estates website: We are now able to hand out the keys to the monument to the public. We can only hand out 1 per day, so we would appreciate your patience and understanding. please call to hire the key beforehand. collections are made to the rear of the office. please drop by our office on a weekday to collect them for £5. We are open 8:45am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

With an approximate population of around 2100 in Melrose, and 1200 in the immediate villages of Gattonside, Darnick and Newstead, the town provides an extensive choice of amenities ranging from a variety of specialist independent shops including a green grocer, a fishmonger, two butchers, antique and interiors shops, small supermarkets, a large selection of restaurants and numerous hotels, all situated around the High Street area of this vibrant town.

Wood painting and decoration - bird boxes, bug boxes and an array of wooden items. Mug & Plate painting using paints that you fire in your own oven when you get home with easy to follow instructions ready for table use. We are asked: How long do things take to do? Nearby, the summit of Peniel Heugh and the towering Waterloo Monument offers a stunning panorama. The monument was built to celebrate the Duke of Wellington’s victory at the Battle of Waterloo over 200 years ago.
