Japanese, great place for sushi. The addition of simple grilled fish to the menu (I recommend the mackerel), along with some extra care with their appetizer salads, make it a more attractive option than most. It also has attentive Japanese staff and a cozy authentic interior.

Parks & Nature
I can't recommend this museum and garden enough. The museum provides a clear and well-curated introduction to his life and interests. Kahn was a successful banker who devoted himself to cataloging the different people of the world through photography. (His ultimate goal was to promote world peace.) The photography and accompanying film clips are amazing. There is footage of Maréchal Foch visiting the Dakota and Crow tribes, images of Loïe Fuller dancing in Kahn's back yard, stills of the Seine overflowing, vets on parade after WWI... Fascinating stuff. And the gardens are beautiful. You can't picnic in them, but you're welcome to sit and read and just hang out. Considering all that, the very low ticket prices (free for students, 2.50 tarif reduit) make it a great outing.

Essentials
The hammam is gorgeous. Very clean, the staff are very polite.
Pretty classy and pricey. If you're on a budget, buy your black soap and scrub mitten on your way over, and then bring a friend who you feel comfortable scrubbing your back for you to avoid the price of paying a professional to do it. An excellent way to pass the day when it's dark, cold, and raining out, and a fantastic place to sweat out toxins and clean up your skin as seasons change.
Pro-tip: if you want to splurge on a professional scrub, mask or massage, you need to reserve in advance. Walk-ins are, however, accepted if you just want to use the facilities.
