Neighborhoods
NoDa is one of our favorite neighborhoods around Charlotte.
NoDa, short for North Davidson, is the city’s arts and entertainment district. It's known for its eclectic galleries and music venues, including the Neighborhood Theatre, host to big-name acts, and intimate spots like the Evening Muse. Artisan gift shops, jewelry stores and tattoo parlors dot North Davidson Street. Local eats include Southern fare, Cajun cuisine and pizza, and there are a number of hip dive bars.

Plaza Midwood is a trendy, laid-back neighborhood known for its nightlife, with plenty of low-key dive bars and intimate music venues like Snug Harbor. There’s also a vibrant restaurant scene featuring comfort food eateries, barbecue joints, gastropubs and several popular ice-cream shops. Stores sell everything from consignment and vintage clothing to records and locally made artisan goods and jewelry.

Plaza Midwood
Plaza Midwood is a trendy, laid-back neighborhood known for its nightlife, with plenty of low-key dive bars and intimate music venues like Snug Harbor. Some of our favorite places to go with or without your dogs. However, these places are all VERY dog friendly or are geared towards dogs and humans are welcome also : )

US National Whitewater Center Drive

Lucky Dog Bark and Brew has 3 locations, Charlotte, Steele Creek and Lake Norman. It is an indoor and outdoor dog park, kennel, and bar all rolled into one! From our home, it is almost equal distance to the Lake Norman location or the Charlotte location. The Charlotte location is much larger so it depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. We love taking our dogs here to play, have some tasty adult beverages and watch sports. They have numerous TVs inside and outside. They typically have food trucks as well.
Only guests 21 and older and their dogs can enter their facility. ALL dogs must be up-to-date on all vaccines, friendly, and fixed if they are older than six months.

Even though there are so many new restaurants on the scene in Charlotte, Soul will forever be one of our favorites! It's a great spot for a date or a group of friends getting together and sitting in one of their large booths. The wait times can be long so we advise putting your name on the wait list and strolling around the area in Plaza Midwood, if you have a longer wait time.

222 S Caldwell StOne of the best rooftop views of the Queen City skyline. It is a great for dates, groups, or parties. Their cocktails and food are so delicious! The overall experience here is top notch. We highly recommend sitting outside on a late, beautiful afternoon, watching the sunset and enjoying all they have to offer.

Carowinds is a 407-acre amusement park located adjacent to Interstate 77 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The park straddles the North Carolina-South Carolina state line, with a portion of the park located in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

This ballpark is a lot of fun! It's in a great area of Charlotte to walk around uptown before or after catching a Knights game. Usually on Friday nights, there's a fireworks display after the game.
