Pensacola Beach is one of the best beaches we have ever been to! It has beautiful powder white sand. The best time to go is a weekday, avoiding rush hour times or on the weekend leaving early to mid morning. If we go to the beach on the weekend, we try to leave our house by 8am or 9am to avoid the most traffic. There is $1 toll to get onto Pensacola Beach but it is toll by plate only so you will receive a bill in the mail a couple weeks later.

We also enjoy going to Navarre Beach as it is often less crowded and has less traffic getting there depending on the day. Navarre is much less touristy than Pensacola Beach with only a couple restaurants on the beach but it is a beautiful area.

If you prefer calmer water than the Gulf of Mexico you can go to Quietwater Beach which is located on the Pensacola Beach on the left right after you come across the toll. This beach is on the sound and is very calm.

Fort Pickens National Seashore - there is a gate fee to get in unless you have a National Park pass but it is well worth it and the pass is good for 7 days. There is an old fort you can tour there. If you go to the top of the stairs of the fort you can see the 360° views of the Gulf of Mexico and the bay, absolutely beautiful! There are also several beaches in Fort Pickens that are much less crowded than the public beaches.

There is an old fort you can tour there. If you go to the top of the stairs of the fort you can see the 360° views of the Gulf of Mexico and the bay, absolutely beautiful! There are also several beaches in Fort Pickens that are much less crowded than the public beaches.
This is a great zoo. It is small but well kept and has a train ride.

OWA is in Foley, AL. It is an amusement park that is newer and really nice. It has thrill rides and lots of rides for young kids as well. There is a downtown area there with shops and restaurants. They are also getting ready to open an indoor waterpark.
