Durrës is a city 25 min distance from Tirana by car. It’s known for its huge Roman amphitheater, Nearby is a 9th-century church with mosaic-covered walls. The Archaeological Museum displays pieces from the Greek, Hellenistic and Roman periods. Also is known for nice beaches in the Adriatic coast and very delicious fish restaurants and not only.

Also you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and mountain climbing. Take the cable car to (almost) the top of Dajti Mountain and enjoy the fantastic views. The longest cableway in the Balkans at 4.7 kilometres, the 15 minute scenic journey takes visitors over forest, farms, hilltops and even bunkers!
