Sightseeing
This is my favourite way to start the day and our apartment is only a few minutes walk to Australia's famous Surfers Paradise Beach. We are truely blessed with this two kilometre stretch of golden sand to walk, swim, surf the waves or just sit under a sun shelter and take in the scenery.
We have three Life Saving Towers scattered along the beach with experienced teams to try and keep our swimmers safe. Please observe the signs and always swim between the flags. Remember to slip on a shirt, slop on some sunscreen & slap on a hat. The sea breeze makes it feel cooler and it is easy to get burnt!
The foreshore has beautiful grassed areas with benches, bbq areas and paths for walking & cycling. You will find lots of little paths to make your way to Surfers Beach.
Make sure you don’t miss the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets that attracts lots of locals and holiday-makers. Wednesday, Friday & Saturday evening 4PM - 9PM.
The front road is lined with lots of cafes, restaurants & bars offering you quite a selection of food & drinks.

Surfers Paradise Beer Garden

Tallebudgera Creek is best known for its sparkling calm creek which has the Burleigh Heads National Park on one side and Palm Beach on the other. A visit is all about safe swimming, picnicking, kayaking and relaxing.
While the Creek is lovely and calm, for those seeking surf you only need to walk to nearby Tallebudgera Beach for a few waves. For a Lunch, head to the Tallebudgera Surf Lifesaving Club nearby.

Explore the wonderful walks, waterfalls and the National Parks. Visit the Tamborine Mountain Botanical Gardens which includes a glorious lake in the centre, a rainforest walk and a Japanese Garden.
Bring a picnic! I have provided a picnic basket in the hall cupboard for you. Please ensure it is washed and placed back when you have finished with it.

Tamborine Mountain is the home of Thunderbird Park which is Australia’s largest high ropes adventure park. You will find more than 14 flying foxes & 140 challenges.
The whole course climbs more than 30 metres above the ground and is spread out over 12 acres of spectacular bush land & rainforest.
Minimum age is 8 and you need to have a moderate or high level of fitness.

Do yourself a favour and visit the beautiful Tamborine Mountain which is only 45mins from our apartment. Feel the change of pace, the cooler climate, sweeping views of the Coast and the most amazing scenery.

Puente Natural, Parque Nacional Springbrook

Movie World is a great theme park where you can experience all your favourite superheroes, villains and comic characters. You can experience adrenaline pumping & thrilling rides as well as have the opportunity to watch world class shows. There is SO much to do so when you enter the park, work out the showtimes and plan your day so you don’t miss out on anything!

Pacific MotorwayMovie World is a great theme park where you can experience all your favourite superheroes, villains and comic characters. You can experience adrenaline pumping & thrilling rides as well as have the opportunity to watch world class shows. There is SO much to do so when you enter the park, work out the showtimes and plan your day so you don’t miss out on anything!

The park promotes conservation through education and is heavily involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
Your visit will allow you to get up close to penguins, dolphins, polar bears & much more.
The live shows include a thrilling dolphin & seal presentation as well as the action packed Thunder Lake a stunt Show.
The new Vortex thrill ride will wrist, turn and spin you like no other ride. (Not for me!) There is such a variety of rides so whether you are like me and like to enjoy the mild thrill rides or you are a dare devil who wants a maximum thrill you will not be disappointed!
For the young ones, Nickelodeon Land has 3 areas. There is the battleground of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Enchanting world of Dora the Explorer & Boots and Bikini the underwater world of the well known and loved SpongeBob SquarePants.
For an added cost, you can get up close to dolphins or cuddle a seal or koala.
Great full day out for people of all ages

Draculas is rated MA 15+ and is Australia’s longest running & most successful Dinner Theatre. This is well worth the money and the experience will provide you with an unforgettable evening. From the time you enter in a Ghost Train ride into the Theatre of Vampires, you will be mesmerised by your weird waiters and world class talented performers.
Can’t recommend enough!
