East Nashville is where "weird" started and they are proud of it! This is a great place to spend a day. Most shops, restaurants and bars are all within a mile of each other. Its a great place to go for lunch or late night if you want to steer clear of the bachelorettes.

12South is a hip little neighborhood not too far away. You could walk if you like. Lots of old houses that have been repurposed as coffee shops, restaurants and lots of little boutiques. Reese Witherspoon has a shop called Draper James.

With the Farmers Market, Bicentennial Mall and Baseball park all within a few blocks, you could easily spend an entire day here.

One of the newest restaurants in Nashville, The Optimist is amazing from start to finish. they have a great wine list and a variety of fun cocktails. The food is spectacular in both flavor and plating. This is my new favorite.
