Prince's and Hattie B's both claim to have started Nashville hot chicken. There's a Hattie B's on 8th and another on 19th. Personally, I prefer Prince's, but I only order plain (not even mild!). Lots of people love Hattie B's!

The Diner has six floors of both upscale and casual dining. You can take the kids. We were in a long line at another restaurant when our friend suggested this one. We walked right in and sat down. The food and the service were great! Yes, they serve alcohol, if you were wondering.

Great zoo with an historic farmhouse on the property. The sisters who lived there donated the land to Nashville. You can tour the house and learn their history as well as see zoo animals, eat, shop and let the kids play on the massive playground.
