Red or Green: New Mexican Cuisine

Be sure to try out New Mexican cuisine, and prepare to answer our state question: Red ❤️ or 💚? New Mexican food is trademarked by Chile sauce, options are red (red sauce made of ground Chile powder) or green (sauce made of chopped green Chiles). Staples to try are Chile rellenos, stuffed sopapillas, and enchiladas. Tomasita's and Cocina Azul are two nearby options, but there are plenty of others to try throughout town. a favorite for rellenos is La Salita. Great atmosphere at Church Street Cafe in Old Town, along with several other options.
