This 5-mile road is paved all the way to the fire lookout. Once you have reached the top of the tower, there are excellent views of the San Bernardino Mountains including three lakes: Arrowhead, Gregory, and Silverwood. On a clear afternoon day views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island are possible.

During the winter months/holiday season, Santa is there available for breakfast and cookie making. I highly reccomend coming here. It is the mountain Disneyland!

During the winter carry snow chains in your car. A blanket and some food and water. Bring firewood and dress in layers. Wear boots with traction (read: NO Ugz). During the summer: Skin dries out. Pack chapstick and lotion. You will thank me later.
