The following iconic Seattle attractions are accessible by foot, bus, or car - the Space Needle, Seattle Center (which hosts numerous music and cultural festivals) plus the Museum of Pop Culture, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and Kerry Park, which offers sweeping city views.

City/town information

2.5 hours east of Seattle, Leavenworth has an undeniable draw for its German & Bavarian-themed architecture and charm. Oktoberfest and Christmas lighting ceremonies are annual staples. However, the area also offers plenty of trails for hiking and nearby Stevens Pass Mountain Resort for resort and backcountry alpine skiing. The Wenatchee River runs right through town, making it the perfect destination for whitewater rafting.

Great place for day trips! Typically under an hour to the east, Snoqualmie is famous for it's stunning waterfalls, as well as the Snoqualmie Pass (another half hour further out) which boasts many outdoor recreation activities. Winter sports are the biggest draw, and the Summit at Snoqualmie has four unique alpine skiing areas.

Food scene

Although COVID might mean smaller group sizes, Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is still a major draw with their variety of loose leaf teas and delicious snacks (including finger sandwiches, tempting sweets and scones). Check it out on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4pm. Price: $75 per person, $40 for children 12 or under.

This is a truly a little gem. Tucked away in the neighborhood of Greenwood (about 10 min drive north), El Chupacabra is an eclectic and most delicious Mexican restaurant with a style all their own. They are allergy-friendly and can do gluten-free and dairy-free options for most of their food (vegan-cheese for the win!) Highly recommended.

This is a truly a little gem. Tucked away in the neighborhood of Greenwood (about 10 min drive north), El Chupacabra is an eclectic and most delicious Mexican restaurant with a style all their own. They are allergy-friendly and can do gluten-free and dairy-free options for most of their food (vegan-cheese for the win!) Highly recommended.
Tater tots, awesome burgers, mac & cheese, ribs, beer, sports... what's not to like!

Just under half hour walk (or a quick min drive), Citizen has pretty much everything: a wide range of breakfasts, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, etc. Also their own line of coffee, cocktails, wine, beer, a patio, beer garden, fire pit, games, and the list goes on. What can't you do here?
