Another zip world - our kids love the rollercoaster and the tree tops here. The journey through Bets -y coed is incredible - in fact just been made a world heritage site

We love this place, its very sweet and all outdoors and quite eco focused, lots of rides and entertainment. Nice day out for younger kids. Food not great, usual offer but loads of picnic places - I used to just stop at Waitrose en route and buy sandwiches. To be honest I haven't been in peak summer season so not sure if it would be really overwhelmingly busy so maybe check the reviews!

booking a rib-ride is really good fun and a fab way to learn about the area and the wildlife of the menai strait

If you want to travel this far, tie in a day at Borth - y - gest with a trip to Dylans Criccieth. Borth y gest is the most special series of sandy coves that you walk along wooden boardwalks to reach. Just idyllic. Careful of the tides here. Park in the harbour then walk to your right along the clifftop to find these magic beaches

If you want to travel this far, tie in a day at Borth - y - gest with a trip to Dylans Criccieth. Borth y gest is the most special series of sandy coves that you walk along wooden boardwalks to reach. Just idyllic. Careful of the tides here. Park in the harbour then walk to your right along the clifftop to find these magic beaches
One of our favourite beaches but can get very busy. But has a carpark and toilets and a good beach cafe with pizza oven etc. A lovely thing to do is to walk from Anns Pantry in Moelfre to Lligwy or the other way. About one hour walk. Sometimes I would do one way with the kids and get Robin to drive the route and pick us up etc. Or if kids are up for walking, park and set off from Moelvre, spend time at Lligwy then walk back.

One of our favourite beaches but can get very busy. Newborough nature reserve and beach is just stunning and you can walk along this beach to Llanddwyn Island. There is a pine forest that leads onto a beach. Huge car park. Possibly the biggest beach attraction. Great running and cycling trails. If we really wanted to show off a sandy beach in Anglesey it would probably be this one....

Newborough nature reserve and beach is just stunning and you can walk along this beach to Llanddwyn Island. There is a pine forest that leads onto a beach. Huge car park. Possibly the biggest beach attraction. Great running and cycling trails. If we really wanted to show off a sandy beach in Anglesey it would probably be this one....
this is a lovely pub with great food, you will need to book but what makes it amazing is that if you eat there and then go for a walk along the coast in Rhoscolyn it is just the prettiest beach walk. Top of the island.

Our local castle! Beaumaris is a lovely day out. If you go to beaumaris you can go crabbing on the pier, eat ice cream at red boat and do some shopping

Portmeirion is a very surreal mock Italian village that you can visit, totally quirky and beautiful.

You can climb Snowden which is very near to us. With children I would recommend getting the train up and walking down!

This is a very pretty fishing cove that has a big traditional pub on it - the ship inn.

One of my favourite things is to go to Borth y gest beach for the day and then have an early tea with the kids at Dylans Criccieth but this is about an hours drive so only if you want to see the Llyn Peninsular side
