Ludington State Park is a vast park that offers great hiking trails, a spectacular beach, and beautiful Big Sable Point Light House. The park also offers boat access to Hamlin Lake where you can pull your boat up to several local hidden sand dune and beach locations.

For someone looking for family activities this can be a fun and exciting place where kids can learn about the historic past. Many days there are volunteers who also perform tasks as they did back in the good olé' days haha.

In case of inclement whether: Take a drive south along Lakeshore drive to view beautiful scenery and houses.
Head south out of Ludington on old 31 and turn right onto Iris Rd, then head to Lakeshore and head south.
