One of the oldest standing buildings (since 1858) in Tulare county this restaurant and bar is about 20 miles from Sky Mountain. It was originally a stop on Butterfield Overland Stage mail route. It is a bit far to drive to if you are just going out for a meal but on your way to or from Sky Mountain you will drive right by it. If you want to have lunch or dinner in a bit of the old west you may want to stop at the Old Stage Saloon instead of a fast food restaurant. Check their web site for hours and more details.

Pools fed by natural hot springs. Open to the public. There is fee for use of the pools. Inside the large building next to the pools are several small shops, groceries, ice cream and a deli.

This grove of giant sequoias is about 35 minutes (16 miles) from Sky Mountain. It is easily accessed from the nearby county road. The trail through the grove is a surfaced (asphalt) path. There is easy parking in a lot adjacent to the county road. There is grove of giant sequoias (Deer Creek Redwood Grove) closer to Sky Mountain but it is not as easily accessed as Trail Of 100 Giants is.

County Route 107This grove of giant sequoias is about 35 minutes (16 miles) from Sky Mountain. It is easily accessed from the nearby county road. The trail through the grove is a surfaced (asphalt) path. There is easy parking in a lot adjacent to the county road. There is grove of giant sequoias (Deer Creek Redwood Grove) closer to Sky Mountain but it is not as easily accessed as Trail Of 100 Giants is.
