Watermouth Castle is a wonderful adventure for young children. There is so much to see and do. There are rides, push button automated characters, play areas and lots more.
The walk up to the rides is made easier with buttons to press and spotting gnomes and toadstools.

The Tarka Trail is a 180 mile walking and cycling trail. From Barnstaple you can head south towards Bideford. Fremington Quay has a lovely cafe and Instow has lots of pubs and cafes and the beach is worth a visit. Heading north, you can cycle to Braunton and stop at Chivenor for a drink at Heanton Court. There is a Tarka Trail guide in The Coach House with advice on each section, where to hire bikes and where to stop for refreshments.
