Gocheok Skydome receiving attention as the first dome stadium in South Korea is the dome-shaped baseball stadium completed in September 2015, and is a cultural sports complex enabling the visitors to visit sports and cultural events all season. As dome-shaped building with 2 basement levels and 4 ground levels, it has a blocked ceiling that it is unaffected by the weather, and it has baseball facilities, swimming pool, gym, soccer field, basketball field and other facilities for the citizens to use. Normally, it is open to both the public and athletes as a regular ice rink to enjoy skating. When there are games, events or competitions, it also serves as a professional skating arena.
