Filey is a quiet, beautiful Yorkshire Coastal town with an award winning beach. There are plenty of amenities along the seafront including your classics like Fish & Chips, Ice creams and a family arcade. In the warmer weather the small children's fair is also open. There is a fitness trail and pitch and put. At the top of the beach guests can easily access the local park with plenty of green space for a picnic and there are also public toilets and a lovely little cafe serving everything from drinks to light meals.
Filey town centre has various shops, mainly independents and visitors can find anything from award winning hand made chocolates, to beautiful homeware, local art and even a fresh doggie deli 🐶. Visitors will also find Boots the Chemist, the local Post Office and Tescos.
Filey really does have so much to offer apart from the amazing food and bars, it also has an animal park and a country park, But the best thing about Filey has to be with a doubt it's stunning beach ⛱

This is only a small place so a visit can last anything from 40 minutes to a fee hours depending on how you plan to spend your time there. Animal food is also available to buy on arrival. car parking is ample and free of charge.

Fantastic walking routes including Go Ape. Brilliant cheap day out exploring nature.

Situated in Scarborough Peasholm Park is well worth a visit. In the summer months entertainment events are held on the pond including miniature Battle ship battles. The ample squirrels are quite tame and will even take nuts from your hand!
There is a cafe and public toilets. A short walk from the park you will be on Scarborough's North Bay. If you are in this area Peaches n Cream is well worth a visit if your a fan if cake and ice cream!

Built ontop of the Mount is a monument representing the local hero's that died during the war. Its a lovely place to visit and to sit and reflect. The views over Scarborough from here are simply breath taking and not to be missed.

Places to visit
Glen Gardens is Filey main park. There is lots of green space, a children's playground, a small peddle boat lake, crazy golf and trampolines. There is also a fantastic little cafe and public toilets. It's definitely worth a visit, even if it's just for the amazing views!

Filey beach has been voted one of the top beaches and a visit here it's easy to see why! There are 2 ends to the beach, Filey bay which gets busy during summer holiday season. This is where visitors will find the arcades, donkey rides, pitch and put, life boat station, holiday shop and most takeaway food outlets.
The other end of the beach is alot quieter with a takeaway fish and chip shop which has seating available outside, ice cream and coffee shop. there is also a smaller holiday shopselling buckets and spades etc. There are public toilets available at both ends of the beach.

I love Sewerby Hall, it's one of my favourite places to visit.
Entry and car parking is free and tickets to the house and zoo are bookable online via their Facebook page and website.
Entry to the intimate zoo is £3 and its well worth the money as you can see that the animals are very well looked after. The penguin's and goats are my favourites 😊

Very similar to Filey animal park, Bridlington Birds of pray and animal park is larger and offers bird shows and meet and greets with their amazing owls. They also offer Meerkat experiences. A fabulous place to visit 😊

Who doesn't love a good curry?! This place has in my opinion the best Indian Cuisine in the area. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

This year (2021) there are a few comedian's performing here including Jason Manford and Sarah Milican! There is a resturant on site too so pre-booking during events is essential!

Brilliant entertainment for couples or groups. This is something I book if I have family/friends coming to visit. In a group its a good laugh and I think I hold the record for needing the most help to complete 😂 Highly recommended.
