Hikes and historical locations right on property !

1) There is a hike right outside the front door to an early 1800 spring. This hike is a half a mile round trip. 2) There is a scavenger hunt set up on property to different historical locations. The scavenger hunt is fun for all ages and there is a treasure box at the end ! This covers about a mile round trip and a great way to learn about the local history. 3) One of my favorite things to do at night is to take advantage of the clear night sky , lay out on the deck and look for shooting stars. I always put down the cushions that are in the chest out on the deck and you may bring blankets out just not the ones off the beds please. There's tons in the closets. Hikes and points of interest 5 miles from the house If it's hiking that you like you're in luck. Turn right out of the driveway 4 miles down the road on the right is Abrams Creek sign . Once there you are in the National Park and there are many hiking trails to choose from. You can actually hike to Abrams Creek Falls from this location it is approximately 12 miles round trip. But there are other hikes that are not as long. There will be a map of the house that you may take with you. Go to the end of the driveway and take a left once you get to 129 ( end of the road )turn right and then another right up Foothills Parkway. About 6 Mi up this beautiful Scenic Parkway you will see a parking lot on the right at this parking lot there is an overlooked . This is the view down Happy Valley. There is also a hike across the road up to a Lookout tower overlooking Maryville and the Cumberland Valley. OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST
