The beach is a must when you're in LA. Numerous bike rentals on the strand and enjoy ocean views all the way to Manhattan Beach. Santa Monica and Venice Beach can be touristy but you can easily spend day in the beach then dust off all the sand and stroll into many of the restaurants or outdoor cafe's & grab a sunset cocktail.
