THE PRESIDIO: The Lyon Street Steps also are right next to our beautiful park, “The Presidio”. You can walk there, or catch the #43 “Masonic” bus on Masonic Street, right at the entrance to the park. It will take you into the Presidio. They have a big picnic day there on Sundays with lots of food trucks.

If you turn right out our door and go 2 blocks up the hill to California Street, The #1 "California" bus takes you downtown. It stops on Fillmore Street a lively "boutique" street with shopping and restaurants. Upscale. You can also walk to Fillmore--about 7 blocks to the right on California. All flat.

We are a short bus ride from the Financial District and Union Square, the center of San Francisco. Pacific Heights is just up the hill with views of the Bay!

Crissy Field for flat hiking on the Bay, Golden Gate views!
If you want to do inexpensive stuff, I recommend the Crissy Field hike (you can also do bikes), from the Marina to the Golden Gate Bridge. If it is a warm day, you can splash in the water. Ferries are relatively inexpensive, don't do a tour, just take the Golden Gate Ferry. It is a commuter ferry!
