Salvo is technically part of the Tri-Villages, which includes Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo. All three communities have beautiful beaches.

This is the location of the Day Use beach on the sound side. It is about 1 mile from the house. If you have small children, this is the best option for them to splash without the giant waves. The water is also warmer on the sound side, because it is shallower.

If you like flying kites, many people take advantage of this location! You can park along side of the highway and walk to the dunes to fly kites. (Be careful of parking regulations so you don't get a ticket in "no parking" locations)
