Food scene
Here are my suggestions for places to stop when you get off the plane or if you have some time before you leave the island. Safeway, Kukui Grove Shopping Center and Costco. Also, some places to eat right by your vacation rental in Poipu (Koloa)
Right on the way from the Lihue airport to your vacation rental. If you are running early you might want to stop and shop or get a bite to eat. They have restrooms, a place to sit inside and outside, electric outlets, deli bar, sushi bar, and a Starbucks. Across the parking lot is a gas station, A smoothie shop, a shaved ice shop, and restaurants too. A good place to stop on the way to the airport too.

In Poipu a little Local Strip Mall with hidden food spots inside the Market. Acai Bowls and Juice bar in the back called 'Anakē's Juice Bar.Sushi in front of the market. Also Da Crack Mexican fast food. Look for the yellow submarine.

Past the airport headed North is Lydgate Beach with an ocean pool that you can snorkel in. Pack a lunch and enjoy a day here.

If anyone gets sick this is the easy place to go in stead of the Wilcox Hospital. It is in Lihue close to the area of Safeway and Costco.
