This is an interesting place to wander. You'll be surrounded by colourful carpets, leatherworks, babouches (leather slippers) and copper crafts. I is a good place to do shopping of Moroccan souvenirs.

From the Medina, you can turn into Rue des Consuls to find more interesting little shops. Rabat was traditionally an artisan centre and a wide range of handicrafts are still practised here.
