The royal palace lies right in the heart of Rabat, and its area in front of it is open to the public. You can walk around up to the real Palace entrance, and even take some fotos.

This is an interesting place to wander. You'll be surrounded by colourful carpets, leatherworks, babouches (leather slippers) and copper crafts. I is a good place to do shopping of Moroccan souvenirs.
