Neighborhoods

Things to do in some of my favorite cities.
Culver City is about a 20 min drive on no traffic days. I spent a lot of time in Culver City because a number of close relatives still reside there and thats where I went for school. The highlights are downtown culver (# of eateries, movie theater, and great date place), Sony Studios (you can sign on to be an audience member for Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune), Bike or lengthy walk along the La Ballona Creek (where they filmed Greece - Race Scene), and Hike the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook (mid level hike but amazing view of Los Angeles when you get to the top - you can also drive part of it).

I visit Santa Monica frequently and even had my first job in this beautiful city. Things I love in Santa Monica are the beach (Muscle Beach, Palisade Park), the pier has a great carnival setup year round, I loved shopping and going to the bars on third street, Santa Monica Stairs Hike, and the Annenberg Community Beach House

I love Venice and my mom went to Venice High School! It was also the location for so many great movies: American History X, Grease, Baywatch, I love you man, and more! My top things to do are explore the Venice canals, People watch on the Venice Boardwalk or get a hanna tattoo or a real tattoo/piercing, Muscle Beach, have lunch on the grass by the skate parks, or grab dinner at one of the restaurants on Washington, and watching the sunset (drink in hand) at the Whaler on Washington. Theres also this turtle racing bar that is on my list to check out called Brennans.

I was born and raised in Inglewood so I have many fond memories here. Fave Parks: Edward Vincent Jr Park (has everything, skate park, biking, basketball, soccer, like 6 playgrounds, baseball, swimming pool, tennis courts, outdoor auditorium space, etc.) and North Park (much smaller but 3 tennis courts, a playground, and a few workout equipment. Fave Outings/Eateries: A concert at the Forum, Holywood Park & Casino, downtown Inglewood, Chuke Cheese on La Tiejera for the kids, Panns Diner for Breakfast - Get the Chicken and Waffles, Randy's Donuts, Jazz Bars: The Green Horse & La Louisianna, Fiesta Martins (Mexican Food - Get the Enchiladas), Red Lobster, and of course In and Out. At night, if you drive from la cienega/stoker on to fairfax, it is my favorite view of all of Inglewood to long beach. On clear nights you can watch the airplanes as they wait their turn to land at LAX. Fun Facts: The graves of Ray Charles and Etta James is here in Inglewood, The Lakers use to play at the Forum from 1967 to 1999 which is how Inglewood's Slogan is Home of the Champions.
