A character village with tea rooms, lovely country pubs and great walk from the village hall to Branscombe’s beautiful beach. Alternatively park down at the beach in the National Trust car park. Enjoy the well run beachside cafe and cliff top walk to the fishing village of Beer.

Sidmouth’s Lovely sandy beach (when the tide is out). Shallow swimming and lots of sand if tide is out, check the tide tables. Rock pools, beautiful Connaught gardens and tea room. In holidays can be very busy to park. Alternatively park in Sidmouth town and it’s a short walk from the town’s pebble beach to Jacobs Ladder beach. The pretty town is well worth a visit too.

Wonderful village, unspoilt beach. Great for fossil hunters. Book organised tours well ahead, they’re so worthwhile.

Great historic town, just into Dorset just 25mins drive away. Another fossil hunters beach to enjoy and fossil shops and museum. Fishing down by the spectacular Cobb where you can picture Jane Austen’s Louisa’s famous fall in ‘Persuasion’!
Pretty fishing village 13mins drive. Famous for smuggling. Pecorama model railway and pleasure gardens a must for families with younger children and railway fanatics. Beer quarry caves where Beer stone has been quarried since Roman times.

A great family favourite, one of Britain’s biggest charities. Well kept spacious grounds with hundreds of donkeys waiting to meet you. Trails, family friendly cafe/restraunt, events and activities, play area, maze etc. etc.

Our nearest pub only a 5 min drive away. Fantastic carveries, great service and pub meals. Family friendly. Can sit out in the garden while children play, plenty of space inside and out. Advisable to book in holiday time.

Hix Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis is always a treat. Wonderful fresh seafood cooked with style and often some locally foraged wild ingredients too, plus a stunning view over the Cobb and out to sea.
