The pier of Lezzeno is in the middle of the village just under the principal church of S.S Quirico e Giulitta. In Nesso is just under the Restaurant Tre rose, there is a street with the indications so is very simple to reach. The price for the ticket to Como and bellagio is normally from 2 to 3,50€ for person. Things to do and place to visit on the lake... Naturally we suggest you to visit the centre of Bellagio with a lot of shops, bar, restaurants and the beauty of this ancient village wich is like a “Venice” of the lake. One of the greatest and singoular place is “la Punta” , wich is the central point of the lake where is possible to have a wonderful view of the two other sides of the lake of Como. In Bellagio there are also two fantastic and famous villas: Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melzi Other magnificent villas on the lake are: Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo (wich is possible to reach by boat) Villa d'Este in Cernobbio Villa Olmo in Como Cernobbio and Lecco are also a good villages to visit with the long lake and more shops and restaurants. In Como you can enjoy the new long lake where you can find “Tempio Voltiano” and arrive until the ancient centre where there is the beautiful Duomo, shops, bar and restaurant. Good places to visit for the nature and the view are: Brunate and Pigra. The both are achievable by cable railway (funicular) The first from Como in five minutes and the seconds from the village of Argegno (between Menaggio and Como) The only island in the lake is “Isola Comacina”, it is a place of great charme where history, nature, art and archeology intertwine in this small fragment of almost uninhabitet land. From Bellagio is possible to take the boat to the island. In the area is possible to go trekking and walk through the wood and the mountain, suggestive can be the “strada regia”, it was the ancient road, now is a pathway between the villages and the wood. It is of 35km, from Brunate to the end of Lezzeno. You can divide the excursion in two stages: one from Brunate to Pognana and the second until the end of Lezzeno. The second stage of the Strada Regia is more demanding, full of gorges and slopes, and develops on mule tracks in local stone, crossing the villages of Nesso and Lezzeno up to the arrival at the Ponte del Diavolo. From Pognana Lario on the SS583 take the Via dei Monti di Careno, then after a panoramic stretch uphill descend towards Nesso where a visit to the Orrido is required: a deep and picturesque natural gorge, located at the mouth of the Tuf valleys and Nosè, where the homonymous torrents are united in a single thunderous mass of water that falls between the rocks, dividing the village and forming a beautiful cascading waterfall. The difference in height from the beginning of the waterfall to the waters of Lake Como is approx. 200 meters. The show can be admired from the SS583 "Lariana", or down to the lake with the characteristic steps, of over 340 steps, flanked by houses, an ancient Romanesque bridge (Ponte della Civera) that connects the two sides of the waterway . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! From the parking area near the Orrido, go up to the Church of S. Maria di Nesso, where a long half-coast route begins that will lead you to the territory of Lezzeno, crossing the towns of Carvagnana, Sormazzana and Calvasino, where the church is located of Sant'Antonio di Lezzeno. Back on the SS583, after covering it for about 500 meters, take the dirt road again up to the church of the Beata Vergine dei Ceppi di Lezzeno in Casate; from here continue on the beautiful scenic descent to the State Road, where you take a long half-mile stretch of about 2 km, with breathtaking views of Lake Como and Villa Balbianello di Lenno on the opposite bank, which ends with a steep dive at the parking lot in Ponte del Diavolo in the town of Bellagio, point of arrival of the track. You need around 6h. Other excursions are to monte: Colmenacco, Nuvolone, San Primo...in some periods of the year “Baita la Morena” organize some excursions with breakfast and lunch included. You can speak with us if you are interested. HolidaysOnTheLake Daniel & Melissa

CERNOBBIO: visit the villas on Lake Como Cernobbio is an eighteenth-century village that deserves to be mentioned among the things to see on Lake Como not only for its beautiful little port but because, thanks to its splendid geographical position, it has become a renowned holiday resort for several centuries. This is why some of the most beautiful villas to visit on Lake Como have arisen: Villa Pizzo, located on a rocky promontory, boasts a beautiful garden and richly decorated rooms Villa Bernasconi, a splendid Art Nouveau building with an interactive museum inside Villa Erba, built towards the end of the 19th century, can only be visited on certain occasions ARGEGNO: the village and the cable car on Lake Como The village of Argegno has medieval origins and, with its colored houses overlooking the lake, it conveys a beautiful feeling of peace and serenity. It is worth stopping, even if only for a few hours, to admire the Roman bridge over the Telo river or to take the cable car up to Pigra, a tiny village from which to be enchanted by the unforgettable view of Lake Como. COMACINA ISLAND: visit Lake Como Isola Comacina, 600 meters long and 200 wide, is today semi-uninhabited but its glorious past is still clearly legible thanks to the remains of some suggestive religious buildings, such as those of the Roman Basilica dedicated to Sant'Eufemia. VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO: FAI heritage Located on a peninsula that stretches towards the lake, the Villa del Balbianello fully enters the list of things to see on Lake Como, even if only for its crazy location. The villa, now owned by the FAI (the ticket is quite expensive), dates back to the end of the eighteenth century and was renovated in the 70s of the last century. The visit of the interior is very interesting but the garden, where some Star Wars scenes were filmed, is probably the main attraction of the complex. VILLA CARLOTTA: one of the wonders of Tremezzo The beautiful and bright village of Tremezzo boasts numerous attractions but the main one is certainly the elegant Villa Carlotta. The beautiful building, which dates back to the 17th century, has been remodeled several times and now houses an interesting art collection (including works by Canova and Hayez).
