Chic Restaurants
These are my favorite classy restaurants: some of them may be pricey, but they are all worth it for special occasions.
Mandolin is definetely one of my favorite restaurants. Every time I head to Miami, I consider this a must-visit. Gastronomy is presented in a different way, as it is an Aegean Bistro.
Most platters are from Greece, Turkey and the Mediterranean; and the atmosphere of a Greek Restaurant is created in the middle of the Design District.
My favorite dishes are the Greek Sampler (with Humus, Olive Dip, Greek Yoghurt, etc); Chicken Kebabs and the famous Greek Salad, but I always try something new as everything is amazing.

I recommend this one for couples. It is an expensive restaurant, but it is worth a try!

Juvia
1111 Lincoln RdJuvia is one of the classic, trendy and chic restaurants of Miami. Located on a building rooftop at Lincoln Road, the atmosphere and the views are amazing - as well as the service and the food.

270 Biscayne Blvd WayZuma is one of the best-known fish and sushi restaurants of Miami. It has built a strong reputation due to the quality food they serve and the great service it provides.
Sushi and Fish Tiraditos are the best dishes, but usually the servers can walk you through!
Make sure to save some space for the Chocolate Hot Cake!
This is probably one of the most expensive restaurants in the list, I would recommend this one for special occasions.
Carpaccio is - for me - one of the best Italian Restaurants of Miami. The pizza and pasta they have is excellent, and can be accompanied by different appetizers such as Prosciutto, Burrata and even Salmon or Tuna Carpaccio.
It is located at the exclusive Bal Harbour Shops, and can sometimes be very crowded. This is why I recommend giving the restaurant a call before heading there.
Prices can be a little bit high, but I consider them fair and worth it.
If you are an Italian food fan, you should definitely give Carpaccio a try!

For whenever you don't feel like cooking, these are my picks for nearly everyday dining.
PF Changs is one of my must-visit restaurants in Miami. It is an Asian Food Bistro that will make you discover food from different places at reasonable prices.
My favorite dishes are Chicken Lettuce Wraps (a must-order appetizer!), Mongolian Beef and different chicken platters.
There are restaurants all over the city and service is usually very good! If you haven't already, give it a try.

600 E Las Olas BlvdThe Cheesecake Factory is a must-visit restaurant in Miami. It has become famous because of its well-known Cheesecake, but they have developed a menu with an impressive variety to satisfy every guest.
My personal favorite is the Spicy Cashew Chicken.
For dessert, you can choose among the infinite variety of cheesecakes they offer.
Prices are accesible and I recommend this one to everyone: groups, families, couples and solo-travelers. Both for lunch and dinner.
Miami Juice is a Healthy Heaven. Great for fitness enthusiasts, or whoever wants to enjoy a delicious meal! Their cold-pressed juices are made in-house at the moment you order, as well as their famous salads.
I recommend their Humus and Guacamole with Pita Bread, their Falafel, Salads with tuna and salmon and especially their juices. I pick the watermelon one.
It is great for families or couples, especially for lunch.

Most people see Whole Foods as a grocery shop only. However, it is one of my favorite places to eat. Sushi is made daily by their chefs, and it is great. Moreover, there are in-store chefs that prepare woks and other specialties.
There is also a great salad-bar, cheese-bar and olive-bar; and you can enjoy grocery shopping before or after your meal.
If you feel like, there are tables to eat there. However, you can take your food back to the apartment or even buy top quality frozen food to cook yourself.
Definitely worth a try!

Whole Foods Market
21105 Biscayne BlvdMost people see Whole Foods as a grocery shop only. However, it is one of my favorite places to eat. Sushi is made daily by their chefs, and it is great. Moreover, there are in-store chefs that prepare woks and other specialties.
There is also a great salad-bar, cheese-bar and olive-bar; and you can enjoy grocery shopping before or after your meal.
If you feel like, there are tables to eat there. However, you can take your food back to the apartment or even buy top quality frozen food to cook yourself.
Definitely worth a try!
Grocery Shopping
My favorite places to do Grocery Shopping. Mostly thought for guests who come from outside the US as they may not know these common places.
Whole Foods is my favorite place to shop in the US. These are some of the reasons why:
- Organic, fresh and local fruits and vegetables.
- Own brand (365) with quality products and great prices.
- Food they make is delicious and healthy (You can go there and buy to eat at home, or eat it in their stores. I recommend the Sushi and Wok they make.)
- Great variety of fish, meat, salads, cheese.
- Healthy trendy options (Açai, Matcha, Protein Bars, Almond Milk, Vegan options, Gluten free, Lactose free, etc)

Whenever I need something I don't know where to get, I head to one of the hundreds of Target locations.

Technology, clothes, food, house furniture, sports equipment and nearly, everything you can think of.
Whenever I need something I don't know where to get, I head to one of the hundreds of Target locations.
Publix is one of my favorite places to shop. The markets are generally medium-sized, but you can find absolutely everything. There are countless brands of every item. I also love they have their own bakery; and the Publix Deli, where you can buy your meals. Sushi is also good here.

Publix Super Market at Hollywood Mall

Activities
For the Water-Sports fans, LTS is the perfect place to spend one or two hours at Crystal Lake. It is great both for first-time and advanced riders, and I really recommend trying this if you have not yet.
It is about a 45 minutes drive from the apartment, this is why you should get an appointment beforehand. Contact me for the number, if you can't find it online.
LTS Wakeboard, Wakesurf & Waterski School
3731 Military TrailFor the Water-Sports fans, LTS is the perfect place to spend one or two hours at Crystal Lake. It is great both for first-time and advanced riders, and I really recommend trying this if you have not yet.

VKOC is a great place for daytime activities. Kayak trips with manatees, beginner and pro bicycle trails (separate from cars) and Paddleboarding are the most iconic things to do there.
The place is not very expensive (at least for bike riding, that is what I did there), but it is quite a long drive from the apartment. If you decide to go, I recommend you to spend the rest of the day - or a part of it - in Key Biscayne, so you take advantage of the trip and discover a new city.
Check that it is open before driving!

Virginia Key Outdoor Center - Bike Center
3801 Arthur Lamb Jr RdVKOC is a great place for daytime activities. Kayak trips with manatees, beginner and pro bicycle trails (separate from cars) and Paddleboarding are the most iconic things to do there.
The place is not very expensive (at least for bike riding, that is what I did there), but it is quite a long drive from the apartment. If you decide to go, I recommend you to spend the rest of the day - or a part of it - in Key Biscayne, so you take advantage of the trip and discover a new city.
Check that it is open before driving!
I strongly recommend setting a day apart for a boat ride. Boats can be for your own group, and you can drive them yourself or have a captain do it for you.
I recommend having lunch at an island where you can leave the boat while you eat, and you can ask (for an additional cost I believe) for paddle boards and stuff like that!
The views are stunning and you can stop @ Haulover Sandbar, in the middle of the Boat Area.
